Celluma

Celluma is a LED(light-emitting diode) light therapy device to help treat acne, and inflammation, stimulate collagen and elastin, increase circulation, help with moisture retention, heal, and reduce pain. This device can be used on any part of the body and can be done as a stand-alone or add-on service.

How does Celluma work?

The light-based energy helps compromised skin cells by increasing cellular metabolism and micro-circulation. You can think of light therapy as a battery charger for cells. The device emits photons which are absorbed in the mitochondria and cell membranes. This causes an elevation of ATP synthesis which causes a cascade of metabolic events resulting in biochemical & cellular changes. Many cells are affected during this such as fibroblast cells, mast cells, macrophage cells, keratinocytes, and p. acnes bacteria. This then leads to tissue repair, cell regeneration, collagen and elastin production, and increased lymphatic system activity. Research has shown that LED light therapy may help smooth skin texture, reduce skin irritation, improve skin firmness and resilience, destroy acne bacteria, restore skin’s natural cellular activity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and superficial hyperpigmentation.

How long does a treatment take?

A Celluma session typically takes 30 minutes to perform.

What does a Celluma treatment feel like?

There is little to no sensation at all. You will feel very relaxed during the session.

What can I expect my skin to look like after a treatment?

The skin won’t appear much different- but you can possibly experience a little bit of redness to the skin.

Is there any downtime?

No. The celluma helps the skin heal naturally from the inside out. You will not feel or experience any discomfort. You can return to normal activities following treatment.

When will I notice a change in my skin?

Most people feel or see improvement after one or two treatments. The more Celluma is used, the faster you may see results.

How often can I do Celluma?

Due to the fact that it is not compromising the integrity of the skin-you may use the Celluma as often as you wish.

Does Celluma really work?

Yes!  NASA developed the technology embedded in Celluma.

Is Celluma for me?

This treatment can be done on anyone! All skin types and skin conditions are great candidates for this treatment. There are only a few contraindications for this treatment that would make you not a candidate. These contraindications are pregnancy, epilepsy, and any person who is on photosensitive medications.
