face reality™
face reality™ – used to treat acne has changed the game. Acne is usually an inherited inflammatory skin condition of the pores. However, acne can be brought on by a variety of different factors. An acneic pore contains abnormally sticky skin cells which shed about 5 layers daily. Whereas a non-acneic pore sheds 1 layer of skin cells daily. This is how a pore becomes clogged and when P. Acne bacteria starts to multiply.
Types of acne
Closed Comedone
Non-inflamed lesion under the skin. Commonly referred to as whiteheads.
Open Comedone
Pore remains open, non-inflamed, and exposed to oxygen- thus turning it dark in appearance. Commonly referred to as blackheads.
Inflammatory Papule
Acne and dead skin cells build up causing inflammation and pressure on cells surrounding the pore. With enough pressure, the sides of the pore rupture and leak into surrounding skin areas. Skin is now infected with P. acne bacteria. Commonly referred to as pimples and blemishes.
Nodule & Cyst
Solid, domed-shaped lesions that extend deep into the layers of the skin. Scarring is common with nodules and is known to flare repeatedly. When a group of nodules clusters under the skin, they form a cyst. They can look like a nodule but is puss-filled. Scarring is common with cysts.

How do we tx acne?
Our main goal is to control the inflammation caused by acne, this will then control the breakdown of the follicle, bacteria & retention hyperkeratosis, which are the sticky, rapidly shedding skin cells within the pore.
The formulation of face reality’s topical products penetrates the skin barrier, which is key in preventing dead skin cell buildup and inflammation. Ultimately, preventing acne from forming in the first place.
We also use a highly effective LASER to treat stubborn acne.
