HYPERHIDROSIS – This is excessive sweating and we treat the armpits. We have an advanced needle head that allows us to do the treatment in a fraction of the time. It also is much less painful. GUMMY SMILE – This is when someone smiles very big and shows an excessive amount of gum and can sometimes take away from their smile. Some people are very self-conscious of their “gummy smile” and literally try not to smile too big. We can fix this with 2 small injections of Botox into the smile line. What kind of results can I expect from Botox®?

Botox® is a great way to turn back the clock and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.  Here at Maine Laser Clinic we’re often asked, “what kind of results can I expect from Botox®?  That’s a great question, and as results do vary, the benefits are always noticeable, regardless of where you choose to have your treatment.  

Does Botox work better if I use hyaluronic acid serums?

Like any topical application, product, microneedling, laser, etc…Botox® enhances the benefits of anything that promotes collagen formation or Neocollagenesis.  The muscles relax, allowing the skin to relax which enable better penetration for treatments as well as products.

What about the side effects of Botox®?

As with any elective treatment, certain risks should be weighed against the benefits.  Do you have high blood pressure?  Do you have a compromised immune system?  Have you had complications with previous injections?  All of these questions should be asked and answered by your physician prior to any cosmetic procedure, however.  The risks are relatively low and Botox® is the number 1 performed injectable in the world.
